Sandbox & production
Every app is either a sandbox or a production app. You pick one when you create it, and it can't be changed afterwards. To go live, create a second, production app.
Both kinds work with real Tikk accounts and the same API. The difference is which redirect URIs they accept:

Testing the flow yourself
Sign in to Tikk with any regular Tikk account (a free one works) and open your authorize URL. Approving connects that account to your sandbox app, and you can disconnect it again in Tikk under Settings → Connected apps.
