Getting started

The Tikk API lets your product read a Tikk user's profile, services, availability and bookings, and create single-use booking links, with their permission. It uses standard OAuth 2.0 (authorization code flow), so if you've integrated with Calendly or Cal.com before, this will feel familiar.

How it works

  1. Create a developer account. Sign in on this portal with your email; we send you a one-time link. No password needed.
  2. Register an app. Under My apps, create an app with a name, the redirect URIs you'll use and the scopes you need. You get a client ID and a client secret.
  3. Send users through the consent screen. Your "Connect Tikk" button redirects to https://app.tikk.chat/oauth/authorize. The Tikk user signs in, sees your app and the permissions it asks for, and approves.
  4. Exchange the code for tokens. Tikk redirects back to your redirect URI with a code, which you exchange at https://app.tikk.chat/oauth/token for an access token and a refresh token.
  5. Call the API. Send the access token as a Bearer token to https://app.tikk.chat/api/v1.

One app serves all of your users: every Tikk user who connects gets their own tokens, issued to your single client ID.

Testing

Create a sandbox app to develop against http://localhost, and sign in to Tikk with any regular Tikk account to go through the consent screen yourself. See Sandbox & production.
